Variable optical path immersion probe

In order to measure liquid absorbance more flexibly, Avantes has developed an adjustable variable path immersion probe. The distance between the optical fiber and the scattering plate can be adjusted arbitrarily between 0.25 and 10 millimeters. Light can be coupled into a fiber bundle typically consisting of 6 fibers through a standard SMA905 connector (other configurations are optional according to requirements). This fiber optic bundle conducts light to the end of the probe, passes through a pre-set distance gap and is reflected by a white diffuse reflective material, enters the detection fiber in the probe, and couples into the spectrometer through the second fiber of the probe. The detection fiber is placed in the middle of the illumination fiber bundle to obtain measurement efficiency. All fiber bundles are placed inside a flexible stainless steel sleeve, and the top of the probe is also made of stainless steel. A metal sleeve is used in the middle of the fiber optic probe assembly to distribute the fiber bundles to their respective fiber splitters (illumination and detection), and the fiber ends are equipped with SMA-905 connectors.
